1950's Runabout Replica

This boat was lofted and built based on parts "in baskets" to replicate the owner's original boat.  It is a plank on frame construction with fitted seams on battens.  She was built with a White Oak backbone and Honduras Mahogany planking.

"Wind Pony" H12 #969

"Wind Pony" was built in 1925 by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Co. in Bristol, RI.  She was reframed with steam bent Native White Oak frames and replanked with Select White Cedar in the traditional manner - plank on frame.

 Built in 1940 by R. Bigelow and Company, Inc. Bourne, MA, "Wildcat's" rebuild included  reframing with steam-bent native White Oak, new sheer clamp of steam-bent White Pine, transom built with drifted White Oak planks, new oak deck beams, and an Okoume deck
